Dolly Parton Tennessee License Plate
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library specialty license plates are now available in Tennessee! Proceeds from plate sales benefit local Imagination Library affiliates across the state!
Plates cost $35 each and are available at County Clerks’ offices in Tennessee. Of the total cost, local Imagination Library affiliates will receive over $15.00. The remaining amount will go to the Tennessee Arts Commission ($15.37) and plate production costs ($4.25).
Thanks to the generosity of Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation (GELF) which covers half of the monthly cost of books and mailing in Tennessee, each plate sold will cover the cost of one child for one full year!
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a free book-gifting program started in 1995 by Dolly Parton in her county, Sevier County, Tennessee.
Tennessee soon became the first state to launch a statewide effort to ensure all children under the age of five would have access to quality books and the joy they inspire.
By ordering the Dolly Parton Tennessee Licence Plate, Tennessee residents can show their support for Dolly’s dream to inspire children to dream more, learn more, care more and be more!
“You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children.”
