Métis Nation of Alberta

The Métis Nation of Alberta (MNA) is proud to annouce that we have partnered with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to release a exciting new program called  "Oskaya Ayamichikewak" or "Young Readers" in Cree-Michif. This program supports early learning literacy with the goal to promote and inspire the love of reading among Métis children and families. The program will provide a monthly book subscription that will be delivered to Métis Nation of Alberta citizens who have children ages 0-5, and registered for this program. This program will increase accessibility to age appropriate reading material that is delivered right to their door and will inspire families to bond over reading.

To qualify for this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• The family must reside in Alberta
• The child must be between ages 0-5
• Either child or Parent/ Guardian applicant must have MNA citizenship 

Once enrolled in the program books will be distributed monthly until the child’s fifth birthday.
