Welcome to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Program in Santa Cruz County! We are inspiring a lifelong love of reading in our youngest community members. By fostering a love for reading, we are helping children to succeed in school and in life.

Founded by the iconic country singer, Dolly Parton in 1995, this transformative initiative provides books for all families regardless of their family’s income or status. What better way to support families in building a home library for their children than by having books delivered right to their front door every month!

In Santa Cruz County, the Imagination Library is made possible by the partnerships between First 5 Santa Cruz County, United Way Santa Cruz County and Thrive by 5, a program of the County of Santa Cruz. 

We invite all families in Santa Cruz County to sign up their littles to receive free, age-appropriate books each month from birth to age five!
