Lowndes County

The Valdosta Rotary Club and the Valdosta North Rotary Club have partnered with Dollywood Foundation to provide Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library books for free to registered children in Lowndes County every month until their 5th birthday. These high-quality age-appropriate books are mailed directly to each child registered in the program.

We believe that reading at home is important for children from all parts of our community because it leads to a lifetime of opportunity. Children who learn to read early in life become avid learners in school, skillful workers on the job, and informed citizens in the community.

There is no cost to the families of the children who are enrolled in the program. Bringing Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to our community is supported entirely by the generosity of Rotarians, corporations, and community members like you.
