Bartholomew County

Our mission is "A free book gifting program dedicated to sharing a love of reading with Bartholomew County children under the age of five, regardless of household income. Together we are driven to improve early education, with a focus on increasing kindergarten readiness rates."

We are the local program affiliate for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. We mail high-quality, developmentally appropriate books once a month to local children to help increase kindergarten readiness rates in Bartholomew County, Indiana. $31 sponsors one child for an entire year. Each child can receive up to 60 books by the time they enter kindergarten. This inspires a love for reading, increases kindergarten readiness, and promotes overall academic success.
