St. Helena Parish

Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana has been serving Louisiana’s most vulnerable for over 100 years with a mission to reach and uplift all people.   They are a premier human services organization helping more than 32,000 people in a 27-parish area in South Louisiana each year.  The organization’s areas of focus include promoting self-sufficiency for the homeless, finding affordable housing, strengthening families, supporting those with behavioral/mental health issues, caring for the elderly and our Veterans, fostering independence in individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities, increasing the quality of early childhood care and education, and supporting positive development for children and youth in the foster care system.
