United Way of Southeast Minnesota helps children get off to a good start and empowers youth to reach their full potential by breaking down barriers to success. We advance what works, including early childhood education, literacy development, access to a high-quality K-12 education, and enrichment opportunities, fostering a future where every young person in Southeast Minnesota can realize their dreams. 

We believe all children should have what they need to succeed, starting from the moment they’re born. We partner with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to foster early literacy and a love of reading in our communities experiencing the most financial hardship. By operating Imagination Library in Olmsted County, United Way makes sure families’ economic status doesn’t affect their youngest children’s access to books. Our program is currently accepting online registrations for the following ZIP codes: 55901, 55904, 55929, and 55976.
