Catawba County

The Catawba County Partnership for Children works to ensure that children enter school healthy and prepared for lifelong success. Since a significant amount of a child's brain is developed in the first 2000 days of life, we understand how critical it is for children to get the resources and support they need prior to starting kindergarten. We serve as Catawba County's primary hub for early childhood initiatives, blending state Smart Start funds, NC Pre-Kindergarten funds, grants, local foundations, and corporate sponsorships to provide a variety of essential early childhood services. In 2011, we also initiated Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program in our county. We are proud to be a part of such a wonderful early literacy initiative and are pleased to have received financial support from the NC Smart Start initiative and many other local funders.
