Estimating the number of eligible children in your community

1. Visit the United States Census Data website.
2. In the search box that states ‘I’m looking for…’ enter the word ‘Population’ followed by the state, county, city or zip code you wish to serve and click SEARCH.
3. Get the population total for “Under 5 years.”
4. Once you have your total eligible population, scroll down this page and enter that number to see the cost over a five year period.
5. Finally, your results will display on-screen and in a downloadable, printable format.
